Frustrations with provisionals are be felt by dentists, their assistants, and especially by the patients who are undergoing treatment. Fractures, debonds, open margins (with associated sensitivity), and contaminated preparations at final cementation are all common difficulties during the temporization phase of crown and bridge dental work.
